This course covers the requirements of the new building safety regime for higher-risk buildings. Including the duties in relation to managing building safety risks (the spread of fire and structural failure) and the latest thoughts on how to comply as well as exploring the provisions of the BSA in relation to the recovery of costs in undertaking building safety measures by the AP/PAP, and more.


Course Contents

The training will help you implementation Part 4 of the Building Safety Act [BSA] and in particular understand:

  • The broad requirements of Part 4 of the BSA and the secondary legislation that supports it;
  • The measures that need to be taken to comply with the Act including building safety risk assessment, risk management, safety case reports, residents engagement, mandatory occurrence reporting and maintaining the golden thread;
  • The competency standards for those involved in building safety management;
  • The provisions of the BSA in relation to the recovery of costs in undertaking building safety measures by the AP/PAP; and
  • Residents duties and measures that can be taken to ensure residents comply with the duties.
